FCPP welcomes Dr. John deGraft-Johnson to it’s expanding network of healthcare providers.  He is trained and experienced in innovative thorascopic techniques that are less invasive than standard surgical procedures.  He was one of the first surgeons in Northern California to perform a thorascopic esophagectomy and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) biopsy of mediastinal lymph nodes.  He is one of the only surgeons in the Central Valley and Fresno area to provide VATs Lobectomy and minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery.

“Many patients needing major surgery often request to be transferred out of the area, to UCSF or Stanford, because they think we do not have the technical expertise here in the Central Valley.  But some of the techniques we’re doing right here in Modesto rival what’s being done at the greatest medical centers in the country,” he said.  When less invasive surgical procedures are performed, patients benefit from less trauma to the body, which allows them to heal faster and greatly reduces the risk of infection.  Along with FCPP, Dr. deGraft-Johnson is committed to bringing world-class health care to our community.

On the first visit, the doctor was late, due to an emergency. The staff called, but we were already on our way. After we arrived, we were kept informed of dr.'s arrival time. We understand that these things happen.
